What is humiliation as a fetish?
Humiliation is a form of roleplay in which someone agrees to feel embarrassed, exposed or placed in a lower-status role. The appeal may lie in surrendering control, following instructions or the intensity of a carefully chosen scenario.
What feels exciting to one person may be genuinely upsetting to another. Words, themes and boundaries should therefore be agreed in advance, with a clear way to stop. Consent to a roleplay never gives anyone permission to disregard a person’s dignity or limits.
